Caroline Barlerin has been on her own social good journey for the past 20 years. She has spent her career bridging the worlds of profit and purpose. Caroline is the Head of Community Outreach and Philanthropy programs at Twitter where she’s harnessing the power of the platform and company for good. Prior to Twitter, Caroline ran volunteerism, disaster relief, and giving programs at HP as their Sustainability and Social Innovation Senior Director of Global Community Engagement. Her mandate there was to engage and equip more than 300,000 HP employees around the world. As the Founding Architect and board emeritus of Taproot Foundation, Caroline realized her passion for engaging business professionals in service and nonprofit capacity building. Earlier in her career Caroline ran partnerships for a software startup, designed a rice thresher for small acre farmers in Burma, led Level Playing Field Institute, and consulted Fortune 100 companies as a brand strategist at Landor Associates. In 2012, Silicon Valley Business Journal recognized Caroline as one of their "40 Under 40". She also received the Hoffman Prize from the State of California for her commitment to service locally, regionally and globally. Caroline currently sits on the World Affairs Council board, Bay Area Women’s and Children’s Center Advisory Board and US Fund for UNICEF NW region board. She received her BA from Vassar College and was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford University Business School.

Avraham Berkowitz | Senior Advisor, Tent Foundation | Director, Global Chabad Development Fund | Senior Advisor, Kiva

Rabbi Avraham Berkowitz serves as a Senior Advisor to companies and non-profits in Education, Health, Financial Inclusion, Relief & Shelter in their PR strategy, social responsibility and positive impact. Avraham is currently working with the Tent Foundation led by Hamdi Ulukaya in engaging the private sector in making commitments to support the plight of Refugees around the world. Other advisory roles include Airbnb, FundRx, Toptal and Zearn. Avraham is an ordained Rabbi and serves as a Director at Chabad Headquarters and co-leads the Global Chabad Development Fund (MIDF), which provides supplemental support for religious, educational and humanitarian programs to member communities in 89 countries and 3,000 cities globally. He also serves as an alternate delegate of the Chabad NGO at the United Nations in New York. Previously, as Executive Director of the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS based in Moscow, Russia from 1999 to 2009, Avraham led global communications, media relations, and international development, serving over 400 Jewish communities in fifteen republics of the Former Soviet Union. A native of Southfield, Michigan Avraham now lives with his wife Leah and their five children in Brooklyn, New York.

Keri Gohman | Head of Small Business Banking | Capital One Bank

As the head of Capital One’s Small Business banking line of business, Keri Gohman leads an organization that serves the more than 50 percent of Americans who own or work for a small business. The team supports the financial and business management needs of aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners as they start, manage and grow their businesses. Under her leadership, Capital One’s Small Business banking team is working to deliver creative, digitally enabled solutions tailored to help small businesses simplify their finances while helping them grow and enhance their business—ultimately fostering economic growth while disrupting and revolutionizing legacy financial services. Keri joined Capital One in 2008 with an established track record of leading large-scale organizations to maximize potential and delight customers. She has spent the last several years focused on innovating our product and service offerings in the small business sector. Prior to Capital One, Keri’s background includes leadership roles at General Electric Financial Assurance and Intuit, including general management of global services businesses, business development, sales and marketing strategy and distribution development. Keri is a certified Master Black Belt Six Sigma from GE and has, throughout her career, been an active leader of Women’s Network organizations. She also leads our Microfinance connection group at Capital One, helping foster economic empowerment through entrepreneurialism. Keri lives in Washington, DC with her husband Tim and their three children.

Gary Hattem | Managing Director, Global Head of Center for Sustainable Development | Asset Management President, Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation

Gary Hattem is a Managing Director and heads the newly established Center for Sustainable Finance within Deutsche Asset Management. The Center brings together a focused strategy for ESG and Sustainable Investing with a robust research capability, innovative product development and strategic field building partnerships whose mission is to integrate ESG activities throughout AM, conduct field building research and facilitate the development of innovative product offerings. He also oversees social finance activities as well as serves as President of the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation. Beyond these philanthropic activities, Mr. Hattem is responsible for the social finance activities of Deutsche Bank having established the Community Development Finance Group when he joined the bank in 1990. This work includes a U.S. community development portfolio of loans and investments in affordable housing and economic development and a global Sustainable Investment program that structures impact funds to finance social enterprises and microfinance institutions throughout the developing world. More than $2.5 billion has been deployed through these activities. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Gary Hattem was the first Executive Director of the St. Nicholas Neighborhood Preservation Corporation, a non-governmental organization. Under his 15-year leadership, the organization advanced the revitalization of the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Hattem holds a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and a B.S. Degree from Purchase College. In 2009 he was selected as an American Council on Germany McCloy Environmental Fellow.

Travis Kiyota | Vice President, Corporate Affairs | PG&E

Travis Kiyota is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. In this role, Kiyota is responsible for overseeing the company’s local public affairs activities and for leading the four regional corporate affairs teams responsible for working with local officials and agencies, and coordinating with PG&E’s operating lines of business. Before joining PG&E, Kiyota managed the political and public affairs efforts for RCN Corporation, a national telecommunications company. Prior to joining the private sector, Kiyota worked as a Senior Policy Advisor for former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, where he handled intergovernmental relations for public safety matters. During the mid-1990s, Kiyota served in Washington, D.C., as a Senior Program Officer for the United States Department of Justice where he administered President Clinton’s anti-crime initiatives. Earlier, Kiyota served as an aide to the former Mayor of Los Angeles. Kiyota is a native San Franciscan and serves on the board of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and is the CEO deputy for the San Francisco Committee on Jobs. Kiyota is active with many neighborhood and community organizations throughout the Bay Area. Notably, in 2008, Kiyota was named by 7x7 Magazine as one of the “Top 20 under 40.”

Chris Librie | Senior Director, Living Progress | Hewlett Packard Enterprise Corporate Affairs

Chris Librie is responsible for driving Living Progress, HPE’s approach to sustainability and corporate citizenship. Living Progress unites people, ideas and technologies to solve the world’s toughest challenges. Chris leads a global team focused on demonstrating how HPE is building a stronger, more resilient company and a sustainable world. Chris' background includes branding, marketing, general management, and sustainability experience. Most recently, Chris directed HP’s sustainability strategy, as well as the company’s environmental and health-related CSR programs. Prior to joining HP, Chris worked at S.C. Johnson & Son, where he served as Director, Global Sustainability. Previous roles also include senior positions at Diageo and Unilever. Judilee Reed | Program Director for Thriving Cultures | The Surdna Foundation Judilee Reed is the director of the Thriving Cultures program at the Surdna Foundation, a family foundation that seeks to foster sustainable communities in the United States. Since joining the foundation in 2011, Judilee has relaunched the Thriving Cultures program with a focus on social justice and cultural equity through its four funding areas: Artists Engaging in Social Change, Community Engaged Design, Artists and Economic Development, and Teens’ Artistic and Cultural Advancement. Prior to joining the foundation, Judilee was the Executive Director of Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC), where she led successful projects focusing on strengthening community-centered arts organizations, improving artists' access to information about America's changing health care policies, and generating awareness of the increasingly diverse demographics of communities around the country. Her work spans over two decades and includes roles at local, regional and national scales in governmental and private organizations. She holds a B.A. in art history and a B.F.A. in painting from the University of New Hampshire, and alumna status at Harvard Business School.

John Renfro | Senior VP & Chief Human Resources Officer | Capital Group

John Renfro is senior vice president and chief human resources officer at the Capital Group. He leads the company’s worldwide human resources organization and is responsible for driving its global human capital strategy. The Capital Group is one of the world’s largest investment management organizations with assets of over $1 trillion under management. Prior to joining Capital, John was the executive vice president and chief human resources officer at AECOM, a global provider of architecture, design, engineering and construction services with 100,000 employees in 150 countries. Previously he served as the vice president of human resources for Hewlett-Packard Company. Before that, he was the senior vice president and chief human resources officer at The Walt Disney Company, and at Gateway Computers. John’s 30-year career has included HR leadership responsibility in a broad range of industries and geographies. He has worked in technology, media, aerospace, and consumer products, and has lived and worked throughout the US and internationally, including assignments in Sydney and Hong Kong. John’s outside affiliations include serving on the advisory boards for University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, USC’s Center for Effective Organizations, the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, and the College of Business at Southern Illinois University. John holds a bachelor’s degree in administrative sciences from Southern Illinois University. His son Justin is on the Kiva Zip team, a program that provides 0% interest loans to financially excluded and socially impactful entrepreneurs in the United States. John lives in Los Angeles.

Libby Schaaf | Mayor of Oakland

Born and raised in Oakland, Libby spent her youth volunteering, through countless Girl Scout projects, at Children's Fairyland, and as a weekly Ranger Station Aide at Joaquin Miller Park. While an attorney in her late 20s, she co-founded the non-profit Oakland Cares, which organized and implemented hundreds of volunteer community improvement projects across the city. She found her calling building community, so she left her legal career at Oakland's largest law firm to build and run the first centralized volunteer program for Oakland public schools at the Marcus Foster Institute. Libby later served as Chief of Staff to Council President Ignacio De La Fuente, and then as a top aide to Mayor Jerry Brown. Libby successfully led community input and the drafting of the Measure Y Violence Prevention Plan. Libby has also been a champion for economic development. She has worked closely with business leaders throughout the District to support local business growth and encourage Oaklanders to shop right here at home so that we can keep our sales tax dollars funding vital city services. Along with City Attorney Barbara Parker, Libby sponsored legislation making Oakland the first city to serve as a Kiva Zip micro-lending trustee supporting small Oakland-grown businesses.

Melinda Wolfe | Chief Human Resources Officer | Pearson

Melinda Wolfe joined Pearson in September 2013, becoming the company’s first Chief Human Resources Officer. In this capacity, Ms. Wolfe is charged with re-establishing the company’s focus on people at a time when Pearson is undergoing a major transformation of its education business. Over her career, she has spearheaded talent initiatives with a passionate focus on diversity and inclusion at global companies including Bloomberg, American Express and Goldman Sachs. Ms. Wolfe began her career in public finance at Merrill Lynch, where she managed billions of dollars of project finance and public power transactions for public and private sector clients over a 14-year period. Ms. Wolfe is a board member of Auburn Seminary, the Center for Talent Innovation, Planned Parenthood of New York City and ZanaAfrica. She previously served the NYC Mayor’s Commission on Women and on advisory boards for several academic institutions including the Dalton School, Barnard’s Athena Center, Duke University, Washington University and the School of Public and International Affairs at Columbia, where she also served as an Adjunct Faculty Member. She is a frequent speaker at conferences on a range of subjects including all aspects of talent management and diversity and inclusion, particularly the advancement of women. Ms. Wolfe earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University and her graduate degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She resides in Manhattan with her husband, Ken Inadomi, and their daughter, Molly.

Katherine Woo | Product Lead for Social Good | Facebook

Katherine is currently the product lead for Social Good Product at Facebook, a new team chartered with building products that augment the good that is done by Facebook's global community every day. These products include crisis response tools that help people tell loved ones they're safe, and charitable giving products that help raise funds for nonprofits more effectively from their social networks. Prior to this, Katherine served as Chief Product Officer at Kiva.org, where she oversaw product management, design, marketing, and analytics. Before Kiva, Katherine co-founded a social dating startup called Thread, which was the first dating site to be built on the Facebook Connect platform. Before this and spent 7 years in product and strategy roles at eBay and PayPal, including serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO of eBay, and Director of Product Strategy for PayPal. She started her professional career as an associate at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). Katherine received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA Economics at Harvard-Radcliffe.

Kristin Yetto | Chief People Officer | eBay

Kristin Yetto is responsible for all aspects of human resources across eBay. She drives business performance; talent development and acquisition; learning and development; compensation; benefits, HR shared services, people tools and technologies, and oversees the continuing evolution of the company's culture. Kristin is a leader with deep eBay experience and understanding. She was previously senior vice president of HR for eBay Marketplaces. In her twelve year tenure, Kristin has been critical to the success of major initiatives, including the eBay Marketplaces turnaround from 2009 – 2011 and the drive to expand internationally, which became a vital part of the eBay business. While at Marketplaces, she also led significant change projects including the implementation of an HR transformation to a shared services model. She drove a resource allocation project that modeled country growth with key hiring needs at the right stage for optimal revenue generation. Prior to joining eBay in 2003, Kristin was the HR Business Partner at Palm, the company that created the first personal digital assistant successfully marketed worldwide. While at Palm, she was responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of all employees. Before Palm, Kristin was director of global services for Seagate Technology, a global data storage solutions company, and a human resources manager at General Electric. Kristin has an MBA in Finance from Russell Sage School of Management and a BA in Liberal Arts from the State University of New York College at Oneonta. She is a former member of the Women’s Initiative for Self Employment. Kristin is an eBay shopper, with a passion for buying everything from fashion to home and garden merchandise on eBay. She loves to go “glamping” in her Airstream travel trailer and is an avid hiker who summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, and dreams to hike all of the national parks in the U.S.
